Artist Statement We are not over Acrylic and paper on panel I wanted this piece to be an abstract version of our future. I wanted it to look toxic and radioactive, but I wanted the phrase “we are not over” to contrast with that and give people hope.

Artist Statement Greed Kills Watercolor, ink, and pencil on canvas This piece represents the deforestation that is happening to fuel human industry and greed, specifically in Sumatra. The painting depicts an orangutan and the Sumatran elephants who are both heavily affected by this, as are many other species. Artist Statement Ecological Travel Transportation is a big contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and we can look for more environmentally friendly alternatives. I drew a man on his way to work, who understands that his solution is better than the traditional cars, but the people find him strange and treat him like a clown. It’s funny to realize that the “less evolved” form of transportation is better in some aspects than the one developed for the last 100 years. Maybe one day we will see the people of tomorrow doing their daily chores on wild animals like before cars were…

Artist Statement An iIl Mother As pollution is one of the world's biggest evolving problems, it's time more people took notice of how it has affected our world and how it has destroyed nature. In this piece specifically, Mother Nature. The piece's purpose is to take a figurative approach to how pollution has made mother nature sick and weak, unable to fight the amounts flowing in. I hope for this piece to evoke an emotional connection to the Earth and nature and how we've left it to wither and die.
