An Invitation/Join me
Join me in a future where people will live simply.
We will dig our feet down and root ourselves in nature.
We will share and steward the land, following the path of native knowledge.
We will support others in need.
We will use technology that helps the world and its inhabitants.
We will treasure artists, their skills, creativity, and handiwork valued in the community.
We will care for the earth, and all the beings on it,
reciprocity flowing together, and making a more respectful and balanced world.
We will honor trees as elders, so we can breathe fresh air, and live in the presence of nature.
We will see plants and animals as guides, for each has something to teach us.
Come with me, and we will forge this path together,
into the future.
Fresh air blows, swaying the forest
that stretches on over the hills.
People gather wild edibles, grow nutritious foods, and live off the land.
People live in sustainable buildings, ride trains and buses, and buy locally.
The animals prosper, hunting in wild expanses
and foraging by rivers and forests.
Wolves howl at the moon.
Fawns play in the soft green light under the trees.
Squirrels store nuts in the ground.
Great Horned Owls drift through the trees at night, hunting.
Salmon jump up rapids glinting in the light like pearls.
Moss covers the rocks soaking in the water.
Peregrine Falcons soar on the updrafts looking down on the landscape.
Herds of Caribou, thousands strong, race across the land like a wave.
All prospers in harmony,
a community of life.
Join me.
