Guide to Hosting a Successful Fair
Since 2019 Cooler Communities has partnered with schools, teachers, and students across Massachusetts to support climate learning in the classroom and host community events that showcase students’ learning on a wide range of climate related topics. Families and community members visit the fairs and are encouraged to promise climate action. Often, local decision makers, sustainability committees, businesses, or non-profits are also involved. To support teachers, we provide grants, free professional development, in-classroom support and free books for elementary students. From Lee and Pittsfield in the Berkshires to Framingham, Boston, and Middleborough to the east, this model has reached thousands of students and families.
