A Window into the Future
Mostly acrylic paint, with a very small portion of permanent marker
I decided to address my concern with what humans are doing to our home, our planet with in this piece of art. In this painting I referenced Salvador Dali's masterpiece, but added my own twist to address climate change. Th painting shows a starving polar bear in a contaminated "dead zone". Their habitat is shrinking fast. This is of what our future could look like, and it has started to look like this. I also changed Dali's melting clock to our planet earth melting due to human activity. What would happen if we stopped dumping toxic chemicals and using Earth's resources carelessly? We might be able to turn the inevitable around.
