Cooler Communities Climate Fairs
Grant Applications for the 26/27 school year are now open.
Hosting a Fair
Cooler Communities' Climate Fairs are celebratory events featuring K-12 students' classroom work on climate solutions. Students become educators as they share their learning with peers, family and community members, and local decision makers, and inspire them to commit to climate-friendly action. Vendors and non-profits are often present as well, providing further opportunities for attendees to learn and act.
Our Communities
Across Massachusetts and beyond, schools and communities are coming together to host Cooler Communities Climate Fairs—hands-on, student-centered events that spark curiosity, creativity, and local climate action. Each fair reflects the unique spirit of its community, while empowering young people to explore climate solutions and imagine a more resilient future together.
Curriculum
The Cooler Communities Project provides opportunities for public discussion around climate change solutions. Through student engagement embedded in curriculum work and related community fairs, the project highlights actions that individuals, households, and communities can take to reduce carbon emissions, with particular emphasis on wise use of energy.
