Boston Green Academy

BGA’s big green showcase, the Green Action Expo, has all 11th graders present on intersectional environmental research topics of importance to them, diving deeply into data and proposing solutions. Guest speakers and visiting parents and students from other grades make up the audience. This event was held at Boston University’s spectacular (and spectacularly sustainable) “Jenga Building”. 6th and 7th graders held their own event at the school, featuring projects each of which included math, science, art and ELA, as well as a civics and advocacy component.

BGA’s integration of climate and climate justice education into all subjects and grades is trailblazing.
